As the Fall 2024 semester is slowly coming to an end, UIW students are starting to prepare for the next semester’s registration period.
With the Spring 2025 schedule being released by the Registrar’s Office, students are now able to begin planning their schedules for the next semester, as well as meeting with their academic advisors for their pin number.
Students must note when their registration date is and be prepared before said date. The registration portal, found through Cardinal Apps, will not let in any student before their designated registration date and time. Below are the classifications, along with their designated dates:
- Athletes: Friday, November 15 at 8:30 a.m.
- Veterans: Friday November 15 at 1:30 p.m.
- Pharmacy: Monday, November 18 at 8:30 a.m.
- Graduate and Doctoral: Monday, November 18 at 8:30 a.m.
- Honors: Monday, November 18 at 8:30 a.m.
- Seniors (90+ hours): Tuesday, November 19 at 8:30 a.m.
- Juniors (60+ hours): Tuesday, November 19 at 1:30 p.m.
- Sophomores (30+ hours): Wednesday, November 20 at 8:30 a.m.
- Freshmen: Wednesday, November 20 at 1:30 p.m.
Once they know their designated date and time, the next step is to visit Degree Works on Cardinal Apps to see what classes they still need to take. Making a list of around 10 to 12 classes that are still needed and using it as guidance to search for classes can be very beneficial. Always note, though, that not all classes are offered in both semesters, so keeping an open mind is essential.
Next, students can visit the Registrar’s Office website or go through the “Register for Classes” app on Cardinal Apps, to view the Spring 2025 schedule and see what classes will be available. Here, students can search for the subjects they want and write the name of the class, CRN, professor, and time the class meets. This will come in handy the day a student is to register!
For more information on how to register, students should reach out to their advisors or visit the UIW Registrar’s website at uiw.edu/registrar.
