Located on Military Highway, Bilia Eatery serves up a variety of Cuban food, drinks, and desserts to the San Antonio community.
Their menu is comprised of Cuban sandwiches, arepas, bowls, and a special menu that changes daily. They often have brunch specials on the weekends that sometimes include items like guava pancakes. The restaurant, although tucked away from the street, displays a vibrant, fun atmosphere both inside and out. Although customers order at the front desk, Bilia maintains a sit-down eating experience. Inside the restaurant, there are stand-alone tables and cushioned seating along the walls.
Pricing is a bit high, but the large portions make for easy meal-sharing. Most of their sandwiches are cut in half, and all food can be ordered for takeout or dine-in. Some of their best dishes include the classic Cuban sandwich, the plantain chips, and the yucca fries (although the cilantro lime dipping sauce is the real star of the show). In addition to food, Bilia is known for their coffee.
According to their website, Bilia’s menu is a “fusion of Latin American cuisine and Texas flavors.” Bilia is the perfect place to get your Cuban food fix and hang out with friends and family. There’s something for everyone at Bilia Eatery and I highly recommend that everyone in San Antonio tries it.
