2024 Presidential Election

By Danna Ramos

The 2024 Presidential Election Day is just around the corner and all U.S. citizens have the opportunity to have their voice be heard.

Although the early voting period is now over, citizens can still vote during Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at their nearest polling site. These can be accessed by visiting bexar.org for those registered to vote in Bexar County, or votetexas.gov for anyone else in Texas.

San Antonio broke record in voter registrations with 1.28 million registered voters, meaning a rough average of 68% of the San Antonian population will make it out to the polls.

For those who will be voting for the first time, it is important to be aware of the voting process. Voters must bring their Texas ID card or driver’s license for identity verification, or their voter registration card if none of the previously mentioned are available.

If a voter is in line and the polling place is about to close, it’s important for people to stay in line as they have the right to vote.

After voting, voters must make sure that they double check or even triple check their ballots, both on their computer and on their printed ballot. If there are any mistakes, it is crucial to get those fixed with the help of a polling helper.
