As you come closer to walking that stage, it is time to start looking and applying for jobs. The first step to applying for a job is to ensure that you have a polished resume. If you are uncertain about the elements that your resume should include, then UIW Career Services is the place for you to contact. They have specialists ready to help you with every step of building your perfect resume. Additionally, they have links to useful websites and PDFs for all your resume writing assistance needs.
On the UIW Career Services website, there is a “Resources” tab that is filled to the brim with helpful tools and useful links. They offer interviewing tips and resources, internship search tools, job search tools, salary negotiation guides, and so much more! They even have a resource that allows you to search for common career paths based on your major.
What Can I Do With This Major? is a website that allows you to explore different careers filtered through your major. You can filter your job search through a broad major or narrow down your search to a very specific career path. The site provides you with so much information about the types of employers that hire in your field and different strategies in order to maximize your opportunities.
UIW Career Services offers students so much insight into their next steps after graduation, and I highly recommend that every student take advantage of the services offered on campus and online.
