The path to success rarely looks the way you expect it to. For most students, college life follows a steady rhythm of classes, campus activities, and planning for the future. For me, that rhythm changed when I made the difficult decision to leave campus and focus on preparing for the NFL Draft.
I attend the University of the Incarnate Word, a place that has shaped me both academically and personally. Walking away from daily campus life wasn’t easy. It meant stepping away from teammates, friends, routines, and the comfort of a structured environment. But I knew that pursuing my dream of playing in the NFL would require a level of focus and commitment that extended beyond the traditional schedule.
That doesn’t mean I’ve left my education behind. I am continuing my coursework online while training, making sure I stay on track academically as I push forward athletically. Balancing school and elite training isn’t simple, but it reflects who I am, someone committed to growth in every area of life.
Training for the draft is a full-time commitment. My days are filled with intense workouts, speed and agility sessions, film study, recovery work, and careful attention to nutrition. Every detail matters when you are preparing to compete at the highest level.
Choosing this path forced me to ask myself a hard question: would I regret not giving everything I have to this dream? The answer was clear. Opportunities like this are rare, and I owe it to myself to pursue them with discipline and faith.
Through this blog, I want to bring you along for the journey. You’ll see the preparation, the challenges, the lessons, and the progress that happen behind the scenes. This road isn’t guaranteed, but it is meaningful, and it is mine to walk.
Leaving campus wasn’t easy. But sometimes growth requires stepping into the unknown with courage and purpose.
This is just the beginning.
