As we head into the final stretch of the semester at the University of the Incarnate Word, the Communication Arts Department is bringing back one of its most loved traditions. Comm Extravaganza is officially around the corner, and it’s shaping up to be a fun and memorable way to wrap up the fall semester.
This event is free and open to all UIW students, not just communication majors. It’s a casual and upbeat celebration that gives students the chance to connect, recharge, and enjoy time together before finals season begins. Attendees can look forward to free food, fun games, door prizes, raffle giveaways, and plenty of opportunities to meet new people or catch up with familiar faces.
One of the best parts of Comm Extravaganza is that it is completely student-led. It’s a space created by students, for students, to celebrate their work, their community, and each other. Whether you’re hoping to hang out, network, or simply grab a plate and enjoy the atmosphere, this event has something for everyone.
Attire is business casual, so keep it polished but still true to your personal style. Think of it as the perfect blend between giving a class presentation and catching up with friends. Whether you’re coming solo or arriving with your crew, it’s a great chance to show up, be seen, and take a well-deserved break from the chaos of mid-semester.

Organizers are looking for students to help with setting up, greeting guests, and running activities throughout the event.
