The William Mulcahy Award for Ecological Stewardship is seeking nominations.
The award was created in 2007 to recognize superintendent William “Bill” Mulcahy for his leadership in ecological conservation. Each year there is the Sustainability Advisory Board selects a member of the UIW community to receive this award. The last day to submit nominations is Monday, March 31st and the award will be presented during the third annual Sustainability Studies lecture on Wednesday, April 16th at 1:30pm in the Mabee Libraries special collections room. This will be taking place during UIW’s observance of earth month and new nominations are greatly appreciated.
If interested in submitting a nominee, please send an email to Lourdes Fortepiani or Ben Miele (emails located at the bottom of the article). The nomination must consist of the nominee’s name, department, title, and a short exploration on the nominee’s contribution ecological preservation and/or awareness to environmental issues.
