The University of the Incarnate Word is partnering with Investigative Reporters & Editors Inc. (IRE) to host training workshops on Thursday, March 27, and Friday, March 28, 2025. The training workshops will be held right here on campus, hosted in the Joyce Design & Technology Center and the Student Engagement Center.
The Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Investigative Journalism Workshop is specifically designed to support students of color and students of all backgrounds attending minority-serving institutions, focusing this year on Hispanic-Serving Institutions nationwide. Students from universities across the country will join UIW students participating in the event.
Students will learn a variety of investigative skills such as techniques to conduct investigative interviews, how to access public information, and examining the power of artificial intelligence.
